Maayong Adlaw, (Good Day)
My name is Enrique, writing from the Visayas region. I graduated from college 2 years ago! Im feeling a bit old, haha. But yes, to give you an overview, ever since I was young, I really love art and design. Music was my first since I took up piano lessons for a long time, but I decided that music wasn't my whole life.
I really resonated with the first zine because, at the core of my work, I strive to stand by and integrate Filipino culture and the natural world in my creative process. During the time when I was first introduced to the NGO sector, I realized that making graphics/design goes beyond the color and text we choose. By utilizing design + art as a tool and platform for awareness and realities, we have a voice and the power to share what we truly believe in, especially at the time of the 21st century.
I am grateful for all the clients that I worked with, both locally and internationally. I have learned so much, and I can't wait for more.
