"When you take animation, you'll only be able to take animation jobs." is what i used to think back then when i was still in college. Knowing that i took animation for the sake of learning to animate, or taking arts for the sake of arts, and only amounting to that, is a common belief that I used to follow. But the thing is, as the time goes by, and as I learn to appreciate art even more; I learned that it's not simply a linear path, but rather a string of different roads, all leading to the same destination; creating art. Art isn't necessarily just about drawing or animating, but rather its a collection of creative paths: Whether you would be storyboarding, writing, creating sound/music, etc. it is all considered art, and that's when I knew that when you begin stepping into a new path in your life, it's not going to just be a straight narrow road. It'll be filled with curves, ups, downs, looparounds, and everything, but what's always important; is to keep heading to your destination: To create art.
